Menu card types & formats
Start from how many items you have and where the menu has to go. The rest follows.
Aveera Design Solutions designs and prints menu cards in single page, bi-fold, tri-fold, booklet, table tent and board formats. Format is chosen from item count, how the menu is handled and whether it needs to leave the venue. All formats are printed and finished in-house in Pune, India.
| Format | Panels / pages | Item capacity | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single page | 1–2 sides | 25–60 | Cafés, counters, focused kitchens |
| Bi-fold | 4 panels | 40–70 | Full-day dining, resorts |
| Tri-fold | 6 panels | 40–70 | Takeaway, delivery, handouts |
| Booklet | 8–32+ pages | 70+ | Multi-cuisine, hotels, bars |
| Table tent | 2 sides | One message | Offers, drinks, QR codes |
| Menu board | 1 face | 20–40 | QSR, counters, cloud kitchens |
Item capacity assumes short descriptions and type readable at arm's length. Drop the descriptions and every format holds considerably more.

Which menu format should we choose?
Count your items first. Under about 40 with descriptions, a single page works. Up to about 60, a bi-fold. Past that you need a booklet and a binding decision. If the menu has to travel, a tri-fold regardless of count.
Can we use more than one format?
Most venues do and should. A bi-fold food menu, a separate drinks card and a table tent for offers lets two people at a table read different things and keeps the changeable content cheap to reprint.
Not sure which format?
Send your item list and tell us how the menu gets used during service. Format is the first thing we work out, before any design.
